We currently have two dams, Lucy and Scarlett, litter sisters. We were so happy with Lucy that when her breeder decided to reduce her number of toy poodles and offered us Scarlett, who she had kept for herself, we couldn't pass her up! Scarlett is in a traditional poodle cut and Lucy is in the "Teddy Bear" cut.

BALKS RAVIN RED LUCY LOVEBUG
Lucy is the SWEETEST little girl and everybody that sees her, absolutely adores her. Lucy is AKC with wonderful bloodlines but she is not in a poodle haircut style - she is in a little teddy bear style with a topnot- simply because we like her this way! I am also posting one of her baby pictures so you can see the little almost baby face poodle that is under her fuzzy face! She is about 11" tall and weighed 6-1/2 lbs before her pregnancy. She is very fine boned and a featherweight.

BALKS SCARLETT DANCING QUEEN
Our Scarlett, who is simply beautiful. She weighed 8-3/4 lbs. pre-pregnancy. She is oversized a 12" tall, very well proportioned and has a extremely nice plush coat. She is playful and sturdy with a very gentle disposition and she loves to play with our grandaughter. This dog is one of the prettiest dogs to just watch her move. She has a beautiful gait. When I have walked the two girls on our local bike/walk path, people always stop their bikes to admire and ask me about them.

Scarlett simply loves to be outside. I love this picture of her in the snow and it was typical of her looking like she had no eyes when her topnot was growing out and wasn't quite long enough to stay up there like it should. We usually put a couple barrette clips in to help hold it out of her eyes but Lucy would play with her and pull them out or they would slide loose. I have to admit that the topnots are extra work - like having a little girl that you have to put their hair in a pony tail every day - but I like them for a change.
